This book is my bible. I actually have two copies, my original burned in the Zipolite fire in 2001, then I bought another, and then when my mom passed away I got her copy.

The information in here has been invaluable to me. I use aromatherapy for everything. Lavender and Eucalyptus have helped us some many times. We carried it with us to Mexico and pretty much had a panic attack when we ran out. I remember when we caught what we believe was the swine flu, Kata arrived like an angel and brought us two bottles. Hugs and kisses and excellent karma to you my dear for that.

Lavendar has so many uses and eucalyptus as well as my other faves Clary Sage, Geranium and Rosewood. I am sure you'll find your faves too.

So cool I saw this yesterday. Yogi Cameron was on Dr. Oz http://www.doctoroz.com/.  Normally I don't even watch TV and especially not during the day..but who knows why, that was what happened and this is the wonderful information I was gifted with.

I always remember the first time I visited Zipolite and went to Shambhala http://adventurezinmexico.blogspot.com/2010/09/shambhala-in-zipolite-oaxaca-mexico.html.

I arrived in the evening and in the morning when I awoke and opened my shutters I rewarded with the most incredible sunrise and 2 girls on the beach doing the most beautiful yoga poses in the sand. What a first impression!

Since then I have always wanted to do yoga. I have watched people on the beach and there is a fabulous yoga center - The Solstice  http://www.solstice-mexico.com/index.php, in Zipolite that I always wanted to attend... but it hasn't come together.

I have been thinking alot more about Yoga lately, but his demonstration on Ayurveda medicine really touched a point with me. Daniel -Gloria's (Shambhala Vision-Zipolite) brother had talked to me about this ancient practice, but I didn't get it. That was over 10 years ago, and now I am finally understanding this all so much more.

So I just wanted to share this info with you. Here in BC we have a huge child poverty problem, and it's nothing compared to Africa and similar places damaged by war and natural disasters. I can not do much but I can share this info with you. By sharing and talking about it, we can enlighten people and hopefully not turn away.

The thing that I have noticed is that some people have so much wealth they just can not even comprehend what it would be like to have no groceries in the house, or their child being hungry and having to say "I'm sorry, but that's all we have right now."

The world is so distorted, as people zoom around and street race in their super expensive cars and go home to their $500,000 home, to watch their big screen TV and text their friends on their Iphones.

What can we do? They say, I work hard for my money. I earned it! I deserve it.

Well maybe so, but just remember that it will come back to bite you. Karma does. Those hungry little kids, they will be damaged, and their brains are not going to be the super intelligent healthy working organs they could be, it's anybody guess where their path will take them, with out food, with out love..

Imagine if you were hungry..and their was no food in your home,.. Really, I mean actually try to imagine this.. and you had no money, maybe no parents, maybe no one to love you and help you ...I know it sounds like one of those commercials that we so conveniently flick the channel on.

Maybe though just from reading this, or looking at this link with the stories, maybe people will think twice about buying that super expensive blouse, or jacket, or piece of jewelry or car...and think do I really need this. What could I do with $500 if I were to try and help someone.

Do you know how many groceries that can buy, in Canada, in Mexico, in Africa...
$500 would buy 100 packages of lasagna, or oatmeal, or gallons of milk and that's in Canada..imagine in Mexico, or Africa...can you see these kids gaining weight already, and their beautiful little brains, and bodies and spirits growing leaps and bounds, not just from the food, but because they would know "someone cares" somebody out there actually cares..and there is hope...

Otherwise what is there...just a bunch of stuff...without people it's just stuff...and who needs it...isn't a beautiful little life more valuable than some stuff!

When Angel was smaller, if someone asked her, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" "I'm going to be a bee doctor" she would proudly state.

She had it all figured out, until one day she told me, "Mom, bees are too small, I can't bring the ambulance and operate on them" and so we moved on ... but we still have a huge LOVE of bees, especially as Angel has a talent for holding bees.

This article is very upsetting, but very enlightening and really not at all surprising because these same principles are being applied to pharmaceutical studies and other products. Things get grandfathered in even though they are known to cause cancer, and studies that could expose dangerous elements, & products do not receive funding so that potentially damaging products get passed and are being used by people assuming that the governments and the review boards are supposedly protecting them.

So like this man says we can all do our part, do your best to get informed and then share it, break it down so that the average person can understand it. Make a video, photograph it, help kids understand it. We owe it to them, they have to go forth and carry on, let's give them what they need to survive.

Let's face it, everyone that saw the BEE MOVIE, knows that we can't survive without bees.

The town fair is awesome, there is a parade through town and they have the giant paper mache dolls that the get inside and then dance and it's so funny. There is a band that plays and it is such a wonderful culture experience. The 2nd year they had baskets and they put the baskets on your head and danced or threw candy, Angel loved it. The year before she got to carry a star. The second night are the rides and the kids have wonderful time. It's a lot of fun, there is even some kind of greased pole where the youths of the community climb the pole to get the presents at the top. Pretty crazy. We really had fun. We will miss it this year! Angel loved the dragon ride, she loved all the rides.

He won a scholarship and went to the U.S. and learned English and he married a Mexican woman. They were planning to go back to Mexico when he was asked to come back to his community.

They wanted him to be the Chief and Shaman, he said "No, your making a mistake" but they told him they had had a vision and they told him they would help and support him.

400 people are now 700.

They went to the media to give attention to the community from international community so that the Brazil government would change the area of the territory so that they could sustain themselves

They are working on green solutions, for travel with vehicles. They were using diesel. So now they are using a type of seed to make a vegetable oil for the motors on the boats. They need to use the boats at this time otherwise it's 7 days paddling to get to the nearest community.

They bring their spiritual and beliefs to their business models. Aveda uses special "environmental products" from Yawanawa people is just one of their projects. Their economic projects are going well, one of which is a center of healing and ceremony and education outsiders about their community.

 You can hear Kimmie Weeks speak about how they had a normal modern living environment and then their country was at war. He speaks of all the scary times of people hiding, and then the epidemics and people dying. Hunger and weakness, and they actually thought he'd passed away and placed his body outside. There were piles of bodies, and his mother went out and found his body (*that sounds like a miracle right there to me)...and that was his turning point, he was only 10 but he was committed that children do not suffer from poverty and war.

We have to stand together, everyone has to set that vision, when you have a vision, little things will not distract you.


He speaks about if you really want to help, you need to go to the community and meet the people and really understand the situation so you can make changes right at the roots. 


He's asking people to come out and volunteer and work with them in Africa. They are calling for photographers, musicians, artists, to come and help, rebuild Liberia, help the children.  Make a difference, meet the people and transform their lives.


Angel and I really want to go to Africa, we are going to research this a lot more.  We're coming Kimmie. Not sure when but it's my goal.
