A magical, realistic journey through the eyes of a woman washed up on the shore in a remote village somewhere in the south of Mexico.

Mysteriously saved by the sea when she washes ashore, Louise immediately becomes the highlight of the village’s residents. From where did she come? What brought her here? Who is she? Louise does not know the answers herself, and as the timid new stranger in this strange world, she convinces herself she has landed in the midst of a strange dream. But when the surreal nightmare persists, Louise slowly releases her anxieties, accepting the culture, love and friendships surrounding her in this beautiful, mystical land.

Director and writer Anita Doron magnificently depicts Louise’s journey of self-discovery with a playful edge. Accompanied wonderfully by a tour guide and clever narration, the story of this woman from the sea reveals the true meaning of what it means to live.
