3 de Diciembre Pizzeria- 25 years Anniversary

I have been visiting the 3 de Diciembre Pizzeria since before Angel was born, that's over 15+ years. Nacho is a wonderful host and his staff are always kind, courteous and very attentive. We just love the pizza and the pies. YUM!! The ambiance is beautiful, warm and welcoming with lots of art to look at everywhere from the tables to the walls and lovely music. Pizza cooked in a big brick oven. It's always a delight! and now something extra special!! Don't Miss the 25th Anniversary on December 3 at 1900hrs. It's going to be fabulous!!

Mazunte Jazz Festival, Beach & Spa Photos/Videos

Well we went to check out the Jazz fest but they were just practicing and setting up. It sounded like it was going to be GREAT! Would love to go but heard it is really hard to get back to Zipolite with so many people and so we just went and returned in the afternoon. We went down to the beach and wandered around. The water was beautiful. Big waves came up on the beach and Mother Ocean urged us in but we just couldn't. She cooled us off though and we were grateful. There is a lovely spa there, maybe we will go get a manicure or pedicure. Here are the photos I took

I Love this video- Oaxacan Musicians-Dia de Los Muertos

I <3 this video and these fabulous musicians. This video was taken a few years back in Oaxaca at the Dia de Los Muertos Celebration in Oaxaca. It was fabulous. I will never forget it. I would love to go back.

Anyways, this popped into my head and I had to listen to it a few times. So GOOD!!! Beautiful!! I was chair dancing the whole time. You can not help but move to the music with these fabulous rhythms and harmony. Have a listen for yourself.

HOLA OAXACA!! Missing you!!
As I sit here on this rainy cold morning in Vancouver, I am reminded of all the fun we had last year on this day.

It was a 3 day party in Oaxaca City where we celebrated Dia de Los Muertos for the first time in our lives.

We had such a wonderful experience. I took so many photos and videos trying to capture it all. This is the night we dressed up, had our faces painted in the Zocalo and wandered the streets enjoying all the sights, sounds and smells. Incredible costumes, music and treat abound.

Hey we had a great time at Mexico Fest today! We couldn't stay to long but we really enjoyed it. Angel got her face painted as a Catrina and Erin did a fabulous job. I will post more details later and Jack the Clown made Angel the cutest little balloon teddy bear. We shared a lime popsicle and listened to some great music. We also met Harrison- the Canadian Yoyo Champion . It is at the Vancouver Convention Center and is on from 12 to 9 pm Sept 7 th. (Today!! )

Well I will only be posting when I can borrow a computer. And I'll just quickly be throwing it all together, so it's not my best work but I hope you still get the picture and enjoy it. If someone out there has a old laptop (not to old, I don't want to get a virus) and it has PhotoShop and Window Movie Maker and a DVD writer- which is what I need most- because have to back up all my photos...I take a lot of photos, and you'd be willing to lend it to me for the next 2 months or so and your going to be in Zipolite, please contact me. This was actually one of my FAVOURITE parts of the night. These musicians are FABULOUS!

I just loved them. I was so lucky that we got to see them. We arrived just at the right time and I got some great video.
I don't know their names. As soon as someone lets me know I will credit them. I just loved the singing and dancing, the canastas and the tambourine, everything, I loved what they were wearing. It was really a treat to see this and on such a Special Occasion, I feel really blessed and I really happy that I can share it with you. So listen now your in for a very special treat!

Watch the little boys dancing in this video...sooooooooooo cute!! This catchy music was stuck in my head. I think the headdresses are so cool and a fabulous idea. Watch for the golden angel, he was so beautiful. Angel did the best she could to take a photo of me and him, but some guy squished her she said :( and he wasn't very nice...so she was upset, but I just fixed it the best I could in PhotoShop. I got so nervous I forgot to take off my glasses. It's one of those moments you'd like to redo but it is what it is. The last is Angel and I having a DELICIOUS cup of Hot Oaxacan Chocolate!! yummy!! You get to see how they make it!
