Agua Azul 2018

So we went on a tour to Agua Azul, Mishol-ha and Palenque.
It is not for the faint of heart or brittle. The trip is long and it's so full of curves and topes, well just don't have a big breakfast before you leave...is what I suggest.

We had to get up and be ready at 4 am when the tour bus/van came to collect us. The tour guide, Ramon, he was awesome. I want to do a big shout out to him because he made the trip so nice by simply offering Angel a gum.

You see it was very early and we both took a gravol but it didn't help Angel. To many curves and topes...and well she woofed her cookies. She wasn't the only one. But as I was getting rid of the evidence, Ramon offered Angel a gum and asked how she was. It made all the difference. She thought he was super kind to give her a gum so she could feel better. Another lady puked after her. But we had bags. They give you bags. Ask! Also I forgot but oranges help alot. Bring oranges and just smell them...that's my suggestion

You should have heard all the other passengers after we stopped for breakfast, and the driver explained there were many more curves and topes. "MORE CURVAS" they all exclaimed and I laughed, because I had been before and knew what was coming. So the driver ran to get more bags.
But we didn't need them after that all went smooth and we were rewarded.

Agua Azul was there in all her glory. MAGNIFICIENT!!! as always.
This in Agua Azul was damaged in the earthquake in September and dried right up. It was all the people working together that fixed and helped the water flow again. Oh I love this place so much, but the tours only let you stay for an hour or so. Some day I want to rent a room there and spend more time.

Soooooooooooooooooooooo beautiful!!!!

Lo Siento for not blogging more!

Hola Amigos.
First I want to apologize for not blogging more but I have been so busy. We will be going home in a bit here and I had to pack up everything. That said I have some great adventurez to share with you when I do get home. For now just posting a few photos.

The plan is when I get home and get some time I will make a new short film all about the last 5 months, and what an adventure it has been. Maybe Angel and I will even write a book. We talked about making a comic book after some of the crazy adventurez we had with the ants and well just so many things that challenged us. Laughter is the best medicine and sometimes things were hard but the pay off was fantastic in the reward of a deeper understanding of Mexican culture, nature, and just growth in mind, body and soul.

This was my healing journey I spoke about in the first video and for Angel it was about understanding and learning more about her Mexican culture.

So here are a few photos and when we actually get home I will post a lot more.
Besos y abrazos until then.

Hagia Sophia- Huatulco, Oaxaca

I have never been but definitely would like to check it out one day!

Hagia Sofia is a 130-hectare agro-ecological project located in the mountains of southern Mexico at altitudes between 260-390m above sea level.  Visitors can learn about organic/sustainable farming as applied to exotic fruits and flowers from Southeast Asia and Mexico as well as the cultivation of rare timber trees native to Mexico. This unique location is also home to a wide diversity of flora and fauna.

Here's my video for Agua Azul. I should edit it some more but I have like 20 videos to edit and load and well I have other projects too...so here it is... when I re-edit later I'll let you know.

It rained the day we went. I have been there 3x before and it was sunny, but this time it just didn't happen. I was really disappointed and felt like cancelling but then what else was there to do...and I am so glad we went. It's a beautiful drive and we went to Mishol.ha and I will show that in a bit.

We met some super lovely people and had dinner with them that night. So much fun.

Since it was raining so much it made the falls more powerful and it's not cold. We were just cold because we had been to Mishol.ha and walked under the RAGING waterfall and got a shower. LOL!!

Cenote Jump in Mexico

Above is a video of Journey Mexico President, Zachary Rabinor, jumping into one of the private cenotes featured in many of their trips to the Yucatan Peninsula.

http://journeymexico.com/index.php/experiences/waterfalls_rivers_cenotes

Well this is really frigging crazy and I wouldn't recommend it, if you don't know what your doing, this guy obviously does though. I have always wanted to go see the cenotes and swim in them, since I first read about them in 1990, I hope that Angel and I will make it sometime soon.

You do have to climb a long way down into them though, and the thing that makes me nervous, what if your too tired to climb back up, specially with a kid...so maybe we have to wait a bit for a reason.

Looks fabulous! My niece got to go with her family, they got some great pics. Projecting and praying we will go sometime soon too!
