Mini Grand Canyon from Huge Rain Storm

Last night was a huge rain storm. Lots of loud thunder and lightning. So very very glad we changed rooms because I saw where we were staying and there is a huge puddle on the floor and the bed and pillows are soaked.

There was a smaller rain storm a few weeks ago and rain came in the room and I knew there were problems.

It would have been awful, especially for Angel. Here a little rain came in the window but we just moved the bed a bit and all was well. There was a little water on the porch but there is a curtain that blocked a lot of it so I am really really happy we faired really well. It was a ton of water.

Mucho lluvia!!

It is the 4th time they have been hit with a big storm like this this year. That is what Ivan from Orale told me today. Passed him on the beach today as they were heading to the hardware store, they had to close and do a bunch of clean up.

Remember my photos of last week, all the people playing in the lagoon...well it's the grand canyon now. Check out my video and photos below.

How YOU can help

International Community Foundation, ICF, has set up relief efforts (as they did when Hurricane Odile hit Los Cabos) to aid those in need or those who were affected.

PCI Global has also set up relief to aid infrastructure efforts. Their Mexico Country Director and team is currently working with the Mexican Ministry of Health and will be partnering to provide equipment and supplies to support affected communities particularly in hard to reach isolated and rural areas.

Mexican Red Cross has set up disaster relief efforts for Hurricane Patricia, as well.

Oxfam has set up a recovery fund as well as AmeriCares.

DirectRelief is also assisting with recovery efforts in Mexico and Texas for those affected by Hurricane Patricia.

Thank you for sharing this information with as many of your networks as possible.

Hurricane Jova slows off Mexico's Pacific coast

MEXICO CITY | Mon Oct 10, 2011 11:44pm EDT
(Reuters) - Hurricane Jova weakened slightly on Monday night as it headed for one of Mexico's busiest cargo ports and popular tourist resorts along the country's Pacific coast.
The storm, with top winds reaching 120 miles per hour, was about 155 miles southwest of the port city of Manzanillo late on Monday, the Miami-based National Hurricane Center said.
Jova is expected to make landfall on Tuesday afternoon northwest of Manzanillo near the resort towns of Melaque and Barra de Navidad, on a stretch of coast dotted with fine beaches. Read More

We were given this book, it's about angels-  BOOK OF ANGELS by Francis Melville.
  http://www.amazon.com/Book-Angels-Guidance-Comfort-Inspiration/dp/0764154036

I swear the angels have really listened and helped so many times, with little miracles and big. I took that book to Mexico and back and it holds a very special place in my life and heart.

There is a special prayer for hurricanes.

I hope it's okay with you Francis. I really think we need them right now. And the more people to share this prayer the better.  So please share, it can not hurt, it can only bring us closer together. Positive energy is what we need.

For Hurricanes
In the name of the all- powerful Creator
I invoke you, great Angel Zamiel,
As the Angel of Hurricanes,
To calm the fury of this terrible storm.
May you divert it from it's path from the most vulnerable places
to blow itself out where few can come to harm
I honor and thank you for hearing my prayer
In the name of the Almighty.

He also states "Your invocation should be addressed to the four winds, starting in the east and working clockwise". Any number of candles may be burned. Visualize the calm of the storm and imagine drawing in the winds spiraling around it, calming them until all is still and peaceful.
* Be VERY CAREFUL WITH CANDLES! Never leave them unattended. Watch out for kids and pets.
