End Of Year and New Year`s Celebration

Dear friends ,

We would like to invite you to share with us the end of the year and the entrance of the new year. Our celebration consists of a ceremony to Clean Our Spirits ;

Our true being is a pure spirit and this night we will try to give total expression to our humanity, united in Love and Peace.

This is an offering to God: the divine Intelligence.

We have chosen the essence of each philosophy and religion of the World.

Because each of them has its own truth that we respect.

The symbol of our soul is the flower, and we bring it to the fire with all the negativity that we have inside of us in the form of the tree of life that we will construct during celebration.

Namaste
Celebracion de fin de Ano y Ano Nuevo

Queridos Amigos,

Namaste

Dia de Los Muertos in Oaxaca City 2012- Part 3

A very important part of Dia de Los Muertos is creating an altar of flowers, copal, candles and then putting out the favorite food of the ones you have loved that have passed on. We put Pan de Muerto(a special bread with a little figurine in it), oranges, a little pizza, chocolate skulls and things like that. On Dia de Los Muertos you burn the copal and light the candle to attract the spirits of your loved ones.

Share this private moment with us.

Angel was really sad but then she cheered up, she's having a hard time dealing with the loss of her grandma. At her age is when children truly realize what death is. Before this it is more an imaginary stage. It can be very difficult for a child.  I am hoping this experience will help her accept this difficult time a little more easily.

In the photo below she's debating to eat the chocolate skull we had placed at the altar for Grandma. I told her stop crying to eat it to cheer her up and that Grandma wouldn't mind, she'd want her too, and she'd want her to be HAPPY!!
