Shocking news today! Another earthquake. Heard from my family they are okay but it was very strong. Many fires. Reports of gas. Here's the tweets from Twitter.
Please pray for them. This happening on the anniversary of the earthquake of 1985.

Ayuda- Help Mexico Earthquake Victims

An 8.1 earthquake struck some of the poorest regions in Mexico and many are suffering.

'800,000 people potentially lost everything' in Oaxaca.

Oaxaca governor Alejandro Murat told Mexican television the quake hit 41 municipalities and had likely affected around one in five of the state's 4-million strong population.

"We're talking about more than 800,000 people who potentially lost everything, and some of their loved-ones," he said.

In Juchitan alone, more than 5,000 homes were destroyed. Read More

Prayers for Mexico #Earthquake Victims

I wanted to update this post. Sadly about 100 people have passed and 800,000 have lost nearly everything. Little towns are hurting because the help is going to the big towns.

"Sadly I read that at least 26 people have died in Mexico after the powerful eartquake last night. 2 were children😥😥.The president was telling people to calm as tsumani warnings were not as bad as some people were thinking.
Poor Chiapas and Juchitan. I love Chiapas..and San Christobal. It is one of my favourite places in Mexico. Pray for them. The concern to are gas leaks."  See report here

Within minutes of the earthquake on March 20/ 2012 we had confirmation that our relatives in Mexico City were okay. Thank God for Facebook. 

We still have not heard from anyone in Zipolite, Mazunte, Huatulco or Pochutla. 

I imagine it is because the electricity is cut. Please let me know how you are and if there's anything we can do.
