Well, Well, Well looky here, Zipolite got a big write up on Yahoo! GOOD FOR THEM!!
So happy that people are spreading the news about this Super Cool Place :D

http://news.yahoo.com/laid-back-beach-lost-time-zipolite-mexico-154141376.html

"A sleepy town with one main street and no ATMs, Zipolite (pronounced ZEE-poe-LEE-tay) is one of many tiny coastal pueblos that dot the Pacific in Mexico's Southern state of Oaxaca. Stretching from Puerto Escondido to Huatulco, the region is sometimes called the Oaxaca Riviera."

One thing...nobody anywhere should leave their things on the beach unattended. In Zipolite, it is most likely the waves that will sneak up and take them but petty theft is an issue in todo la mundo. (everywhere in the world!!)

I tried to help as much as I could by making this video when we arrived in September. It was still really quiet all the time we were there...so it's great place to chill just like the above story says.  I thought the article was really well written. Wish I could write like that. :) But it doesn't give credit to the author ???

Here's my video for Agua Azul. I should edit it some more but I have like 20 videos to edit and load and well I have other projects too...so here it is... when I re-edit later I'll let you know.

It rained the day we went. I have been there 3x before and it was sunny, but this time it just didn't happen. I was really disappointed and felt like cancelling but then what else was there to do...and I am so glad we went. It's a beautiful drive and we went to Mishol.ha and I will show that in a bit.

We met some super lovely people and had dinner with them that night. So much fun.

Since it was raining so much it made the falls more powerful and it's not cold. We were just cold because we had been to Mishol.ha and walked under the RAGING waterfall and got a shower. LOL!!

It's late, I will try to add a bunch of text later.

We went to the Cultural Museum of Oaxaca on Feb 12 2013.
It's right next to the gorgeous Santa Domingo Church.

The Museo is huge and amazing.

I have some great photos that I want to make into videos, and I am anxious to put those up.

It was a tough adjustment this week. The weather in Vancouver didn't help, today was a bit better.

Hope to get a new camera soon. Really looking forward to that. I've got a lot of work to do this next week. I'll be pretty busy...so you'll need a little patience waiting for the videos.

So for now just check out photos and if you have any questions just ask. :D

So we're home...

It's a whole new kind of culture shock when you return to reality after nearly 6 months in Southern Mexico. Zipolite, Oaxaca to be exact.

Angel and I were hesitant and amazed when we could put our toothbrushes under the tap and brush our teeth. (Think about that for a second and give thanks if you can. It's something that most people take for granted....)

The second crazy thing that made us grateful is you can actually put the paper down the toilet. Jajajajajaj!! Translation: Hahahahahah!! but it's not funny. It's something that you don't think about unless it's your reality in Zipolite or most of Mexico. It was in Mexico city(also known as D.F. District Federal) that we could actually flush it and it was a strange feeling after you have trained yourself not to for the last six months.

We arrived home super late the other night but all went smooth. We met some really great people on the planes and waiting for the planes. Angel enjoyed taking her shoes off through the customs, she had waited anxiously all day for it ;) Silly kid.

It's cold, ...not really but being climatized to the heat and humidity for the last 6 months we've got to adjust.

At least going to Oaxaca first and then D.F. helped a bit as they are chillier and dry....that's what's getting us too...it's super dry. Need to remember use lots of oils or lotions if your in a similar situation.

It's a sad day today, I lost a friend today. Reality sets in.

It was a grey and dreary day today, but we had Oaxacan hot chocolate and movies to watch. Good day to chill.

As soon as the weather warms I've got lots of plans to promote my videos. I have got some cool new Oaxaca shirts and my friend gave me a great jacket...I'll show you later.

I've got lots of videos to put up and other work to do.

Today I'm going to give thanks for life and for being safely home and for my beautiful child, for family and friends. I give thanks for drinking water from taps and the other daily things that we take for granted. Gracias Dios, and all the angels and positive powers that be for helping us through our next journey. : D

Okay so here are bunch of photos from Agua Azul, Palenque and Mishol.ha. You have to wait until I get home for the video. What I plan to do is have a little show with all my paintings...(I am going to paint some oils as soon as I get home) and to have some type of projection and show a small movie of  Palenque, Mishol.ha and Aqua Azul and to show my watercolours of Zipolite and just have a little show for Adventurez in Mexico and maybe Angel can do some stilting. That is my plan....so here are just a few teasers pics for now. The colours may be off as I am just at an internet cafe at the moment. So stay tuned !!
