Join Adventurez in Mexico on their journey from Vancouver to Cancun.

Join Adventurez in Mexico on their journey from Vancouver to Cancun.

Ta da!! this is the last post in a series...of AdventureZ in Mexico -The Movie!! Now if you were to look thru my blog, the videos go in order from the beginning to the end of our 2 journeys to Mexico.

I hope you like them. Be sure to look and share with your friends...because you never know what life has in store, and I just don't know how long I will leave this all up. Formerly we were Adventures of Angel and I changed all that. Hopefully people will continue to find this blog interesting and I will continue to blog...but if people don't read it, there is not to much point to it.

I'm going to try my hand at an e-book! Yikes...a little scary undertaking for me, but I believe I do have lots of valuable info about Green Travel with Kids to share...

Okay so take care, and please comment if you like this blog. No one ever comments, I don't know why...guess people are shy.

I hope you enjoy "The Movie!!"
Hopefully one day, I'll make a real movie!

* Side note, I have a hard time watching this one now, because of the part where Angel cries. The reason it's in there, it's real life. I don't want other kids to go thru this, it really was an issue that put a damper on the beginning of the trip. Of course we moved on, but she carried that event with her for 2 years until I was able to replace her little dragon. Moms, Dads, caregivers please don't make my mistake. :) Always check for toys!!

At Home - In Zipolite - Again!!

Life at the Beach- Round 2 - Nov 2009

Our life is a little bit crazy sometimes, most people's lives are I think.
Maybe it's my Bohemian heritage that I feel compelled to move around or who know why things happen....

Last year when we came home we hoped to get a housing subsidy. But because we were out the country more than 3 months we weren't eligible.

So we ended up staying with a close family/friend for the summer. Near the end of summer there was a fire in the apt below us and all the toxic smoke came up into our apt. It was a sign to me...for personal reasons I just felt we should go back to Mexico. And so with a very small budget we got our tix and off we went.

The interesting thing is we had a planned to stay somewhere different but it just did not work out. Instead we ended up back in the same spot and with our adopted family and friends.

We went home! Home to Zipolite!
Where Angel was created! Can't get more home than that!

My Beautiful Child!

When we were in Zipolite, something super cool happened on Christmas day. It was like a present from the Universe. We had just visit Charlotte and John at the Brisa Marina and we walking to see Franco at the Italiano Panderia, when Amber approached us. She told us that her husband "James Mollison" was doing a photo shoot for Vogue Bambini and would we be interested in Angel modeling. Wow! How Cool! What an opportunity!

Of course we said "Yes!" It was a lot of work for Angel and the kids(5 others) but it was very professional and the results were beautiful.

In this first video above, this is Angel playing a model, but just playing with the ants and enjoying life and freedom in paradise.

Unfortunately Youtube put ads on this, I will switch it out later for one with out ads. Some people say I should put Angel into modeling, but I don't think that's very healthy. I just want her to enjoy her childhood, and I just try to capture it.

We Got to Live!! I can do Anything!! - Video

Angel feeding the iguana blue flowers again!

This was such an awesome experience. We knew that Gloria had been feeding the iguanas at her house and that on Shambhala land the iguanas are protected.

One day we saw an iguana and I had remember that once, years before, a little lizard in a tree on Ohm playa had come to me and ate a white flower I offered it.

I told Angel to try the pretty blue flowers. Sure enough the iguana loved them. That was the first time. A few days later we tried again. It was so cool. There are big black ants on the flowers, that's what Angel shakes off her arm. She liked to leave the ants in there for the moma iguana...a little extra protien.

"We Got to Live, We can do anything"...this song says it all. It was a wonderful moment I will treasure forever. This iguana was wild, yet it let Angel feed it. It was so special! I will never forget it.

A Special Treat - AdventureZ in Mexico - "The Movie!!"

Hola Amigos!!
I have a Special Treat for all of you! If  it all goes to plan...then it should be very entertaining!!
Since the videos I made get buried in my blog as I go along...well I thought if I posted them one after the other, then they are all laid out like a "Movie" and you could see the entire 2 journeys.

AdventureZ in Mexico "THE MOVIE!"

(some of you may remember Adventures of Angel- The Movie!!) well these are basically the same videos, edited...so that Angel has her shirt on in all of them...as that really freaked people out...I guess that living so free for 5 months in Zipolite that we forgot what prudes everyone are ...and well people had safety concerns.. and though that I was exploiting her, ...which nearly killed me, it hurt so bad to have people think like that...when all I was trying to do was share our journey with you.

Anyways, I have learned my lesson the hard way...the really hard way.  I have done a lot of soul searching and educating myself in Social Media and now I have created this blog AdventureZ in Mexico and it's doing really well...over 1200 visits since Aug 29/2010 so I am happy.

Basically I have 74 videos... I might not post them all but it will be plenty. You see I really wanted to make a movie all a long but it never came together for me and these little videos are the best I can do right now.

I am going to work on this starting today and  I'll be working backwards in a way...so bare with me Please!!
The idea is that when they are all posted they will read forward in their natural order.
Okay so stayed tuned.
Besos y Abrazos Amigos, Paz y Amor!!
Tina y Angel
AdventureZ in Mexico
http://adventurezinmexico.blogspot.com/

And please can I ask you a favor, to be open minded, I am not the best writer, I try...I am better with photography, so if something doesn't sound perfect when you read it...please keep that in mind, and that I always have the best intentions and I'm trying to do my bit to make this world a better, safer, more beautiful world.

Off to Mexico City and then Home!!

So this is the end of the journey! The end of our 2nd 5 month journey to Mexico. Coming home is always such an emotional time. It's so sad to leave our friends and family in Mexico. Life there it just so different, and while both times we hit the wall at 3 months (that's when you have had enough, your homesick and you want to go home) we always manage to stick it out and get thru it.

Coming home means you can drink the water from the tap! Wow! It's a habit that takes a bit to get into again, but feels so incredible.

You can put toilet paper down the toilet! Who would think that would be such a thrill!

You can take a long hot bath! Ahhhhhh! What a delicious wonderful luxury!! Five months of cold showers can be difficult at times and for a child with long hair, even more so..tempers can be short and tears fall...but Mexicans do this everyday...so what are we whining about, right!

Yes coming home is fun and exciting, there's no place like home. We must never take it for granted...just like we must never take the opportunities to travel for granted.

We have been so blessed and I am so grateful...but I will be honest...I want more...I want to see the world, and share it and write about it, photograph it, video it and hopefully encourage people to travel but to be a green traveller and help people learn, help open minds, teach children tolerance, understanding, teach people that differences are beautiful, special & wonderful.

I hope that thru my photos and videos, that differences are to be embraced, to learn to love this world and everything and everyone in it, for their uniqueness and differences. I wish for understanding and harmony.

Paz y amor Amigos!
Peace & Love Friends!

Okay that's all for tonight!

El Tule, Oaxaca City, Mexico

Words can't really describe the feeling when you take the hand of this ancient giant. We had a great time finding our way out there and wandering around. There are lots of hidden faces and at noon bells chime out a tune.

We went just at the end of Semana Santa, the decorations on the church were still up. These are very cool. They make them from palms and make them into these flowers. I had never seen them before.

El Tule is a very special experience, the first time I saw El Tule was in 1990 and I was on a train from Mexico City, that was an experience, this gigantic tree in the middle of no where. I never forgot it. It was so cool to finally visit it in person.
